Section Insulator Assembly or Section switches are used on the overhead lines to electrically isolate and seperate sections for maintenance reasons or at overlaps.They can also be used in conjunction to isiolate sections in seperate phases being fed by different feeder substations .They are also used extensively on changeovers.We specialize in the manufacture of the following variants

Section Insulator Assembly for DC-AC lines (Mumbai Suburban Section)

The suburban overhead lines of Mumbai have recently undergone change from the erstwhile DC supplies to a composite DC AC supply system. We have closely worked with the local bodies and succesfully developed the modifed Section Switches which were initally pressed into service at the Chatrapati Terminus at VT and then in the suburban sections too.

Section Insulator Assembly for 150 sq.mm contact lines used in Metro Railways

We have worked alongside organizations such IRCON International Ltd and ABB Ltd to succesfully offer them Section Switches for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation characterized by their unique150 sq.mm contact lines.

Light Weight Section Insulator Assembly

Indian railways like other railways world over are developing their infrastructure to allow for high speed express and goods trains to run at higher speeds.To this extent RDSO has initiated the process for change over to the new designs.We are in the process of developing this light weight insulator assembly.
